Ohio family gathers toys to donate to Joplin kids

When a woman from Delta, Ohio saw all of the relief efforts going on in Joplin she thought of something from her town was hit one year ago. So today she made sure the kids were taken care of.

Jill and her daughter Grace came all of the way from Ohio with a trailer load of toys and books to give to children effected by the tornado, and St. Phillips Episcopal Church gave them a place to house the donations.

One volunteer says it is easy for parents to overlook.

“Cause we are so concerned about getting our houses back together, and all of that other stuff, that I don’t think as a population, and as adults we think about the children.” says Debi Sierra a volunteer.
