Harry Potter fans start lining up for final movie

The new Harry Potter film doesn’t come to local theaters until overnight on Thursday but a couple of fans don’t want to take a chance of being late.

Two fans have taken up position outside Joplin’s Hollywood Northstar 14 theater to be sure they’ll get their choice of seats for tomorrow night’s midnight showing.

This will be the final film in the series and these two have been fans from the beginning.

“I was seven years old when the first books came out so it has been a part of my life for 14 years so it’s the end of an era,” says Lacy Smith.  “If you are going to do anything you’ve got to do it big.”

“Yeah, I’m an adult but it’s nice to remember that you’re still a kid - you still can enjoy something,” says Alycia Allen.
