Man dies of possible heat exhaustion

The triple digit temperatures are causing cases of heat exhaustion and may have played a role in the death of a homeless man in Springfield.

Police say the 55 year old was found in a homeless camp in a wooded area Saturday morning in a small tent.

An autopsy will be conducted.

St. John’s emergency room doctors say they haven’t had cases of heat stroke but several heat exhaustion patients this past weekend.
