Local artists team up with a Southeast Kansas winery to help with Joplin’s tornado relief through the Show Me Heart Event. About 40 pieces of artwork, including paintings, stills and pottery are on display at Keltoi Winery ready to be sold during tonight’s silent auction.  Along with art is wine tasting, food and a live band. Our country’s birthday is just hours away and what better way to honor those who serve to defend our independence than with a free car wash. From 7:30 tomorrow morning until 9:00 at night, In And Out Car Wash will be providing all military veterans with free car washes, usually costing 12 dollars a wash. In and out has been showing its appreciation to vets for a number of years on 4th of July...

Ohio family gathers toys to donate to Joplin kids
When a woman from Delta, Ohio saw all of the relief efforts going on in Joplin she thought of something from her town was hit one year ago. So today she made sure the kids were taken care of. Jill and her daughter Grace came all of the way from Ohio with a trailer load of toys and books to give to children effected by the tornado, and St. Phillips Episcopal Church gave them a place to house the donations.
